The Searcher was relentless as it chased Bendy down the corridor. He must have run to the other side of the studio, and it still wasn’t giving up. For a split second, the toon wondered what had happened to Buddy, Joey’s replacement for him after he’d jumped for freedom. The little understudy had been there when the Searcher had popped up, had fled with him, but the pipsqueak had ducked into a ventilation shaft at some point and disappeared. The toon devil had heard rumbling and rattling above his head, which could have been his replacement, but… He couldn’t really afford to be thinking about that now, though.
